holy war
animals' killer instincts surged up
and a fight for phantoms began.
their fight bloodied the moon above
and scented the air with carrions.
they chanted their pack's pride
with their holy mouths that
had blasphemed others.
they hid their claws and tusks,
safe for retribution of non-believers
while they praised in caves
of their generous and welcoming phantoms.
food chains were long broken
for animals are all carnivorous now
and they relished on each other's flesh.
their caves grew bigger and bigger,
carved into mountains with outsiders bones.
the packs always knew
what their phantoms needed
without a sign or a command.
their phantoms started demanding
unholy skulls filled with outsiders' unholy blood
so to purify the impure
and to set the order of nature right.
ambushes and attacks grew
to satisfy the demands of their phantoms.
their phantoms were invisible
but the packs knew they were invincible
and they should be sated.
the fight for the most invincible phantom
began more ferociously and went on and on
with endless deaths and holy offerings.
animals' killer instincts surged up.
their faith in their phantoms went crazy up.
their invincible phantoms were invisible
and so they stayed all the while.
